In addition to some hand-building techniques, the basic structure of all my ceramics is thrown on the Potter's Wheel. Although the works appear to be functional, it should be enjoyed for its esthetic beauty and symbolism.

Contrasts in both clay colour and texture are an important aspect highlighted in each design. This is achieved through varying the decoration and firing techniques. In designing and firing the ware, influences of both modern and ancient as well as first and third world, are used to create a pleasing and well balanced result.

The preferred medium in which I work is warm earthenware terracotta with a white slip and cobalt decoration.
